Prints!
Prints have been growning in strength for a few seasons now, but they have exploded for 2010! I think they're such a fun alternative to solid color dresses and are so fresh and pretty for spring. It's a great way for you to show your personality and get a unique look. Nearly every big designer has at least one printed dress now, and most have dozens to chose from. How to ever choose....

Dress of the Day - Tony Bowls Evenings TBE11073
Tony Bowls Evenings gown TBE11073 is stunning evening gown that has crossed over as a prom best seller. Trust me, it's georgous in person... if this picture doesn't sell it enough. The layered skirt is so unique with a fully sequined sheer underlay - wow. Add in pretty floral embroidery, a trendy one-shoulder bodice and rich satin and you've got a winner for prom, pageant or any formal.
This one really snuck up on me, but I'm a fan!

Prom Tip #104
Wear what you like.
Trends, fashion and peer pressure play a huge role in choosing a prom dress for most girls. This is fine, as long as you never forget to choose a dress that you truly love! When you are trying on gowns, think ultimately of your comfort. Both: "how comfortable am I in this dress?" (literally can you breathe and move?) and "how do I feel in this dress?" (do you feel confident and at ease).
If you choose a dress just because it looked hot in a magazine, that doesn't mean it's really the dress for YOU. You must be able to breathe, sit, move and of dance (remember that prom is generally a dance ;))! You also want to feel like yourself, just a little fancier. Don't stray so much out of your comfort zone that you're worried about your chest hanging out, feeling exposed, or that you're dressed like a doll-or a clown. Tugging and re-adjusting your dress all night is not becoming or fun. Feeling silly won't make you have a good time either.
So, have fun, try on all kinds of dresses to find the one that really fits your body, your style, and your personality. Prom is all about having the night of your life. The dress is a big part, but enjoying yourself is the most important part!

Prom 2010 Blowing Up!
Hey ladies! I'm not sure if you've been prom shopping yet this spring, but if so, you might have noticed that prom 2010 is INSANE! Stores are super busy and that's a great thing. Prom 2009 was a little rough thanks our less than fantastic economy, but it seems that everyone is ready to party in style for 2010. If you begged, borrowed, or (heaven forbid) re-wore a dress last spring, this is your year to rock out a new, designer dress all your own. Splurge a little and create the night of your life... starting with the dress!
And hey, if you're still struggling in the cash department, there are so, so many cheap prom dresses out there so don't give up hope. You can snag an amazing dress for under $200... or even under $100. Cheap is good.

Dress of the Day - Tony Bowls TBE2830 Silver Sequins
STUNNING = TBE2830! In my opinion, this gown is wow. Dazzling, sparkling, silver, sequins wrapped up in a super sexy gown. It's got a couture, feminine style with a satin banded one shoulder bodice, topped off with a brooch. Add a low back, fitted skirt and sweep train and this is the ultimate prom OR pageant dress.
If you wanna grab the spotlight, this is your dress. It also comes in other colors like red, blue, gold and black if you want to switch it up for a totally different look. It's designed by acclaimed designer Tony Bowls for his Evenings collection.
Look on in awe... :)
